Smores

From The FILMMAKER (Inigo Ahedo): “Smores” tells the story of a day in the life of a chocolate man in a graham cracker world. On his way to work, the big city awaits him with a surprise that explains causes and consequences of Global Warming. Smores is a common camping snack in Canada consisting of Graham Crackers, Marshmallows and Chocolate, the ingredients I used to create this metaphor of environmental concern and human fragility. The film was done using Maya with Mental Ray as render engine, Phostoshop and Illustrator for the textures, and After Effects for compositing. The story, the concept, the design, and all the 3d work were done by me. The music was composed by Igor Correia from UofT. This short film won the Starz Animation Award for best use of animation medium at the end of the year. I thank my amazing teachers and classmates for all their help and support.
